Last month, I've had dinner with co-workers around hongdae and the place I visited had really nice service and foods. So I would introduce this BBQ restaurant to you.
The restaurant is Baliu Sikdang (Sikdang means restaurant in Korean.)
It was not far from the Exit 9 of Hongik univ. station. You may need to walk for 5-10 mins.
And inside of the restaurant was big enough so that you could visit here for dining together with your group. I also visited here with 7 people.
The restaurant serves pork and beef both. Also there are many side dishes such as jjigae, cold noodle(nengmyeon) that you can try after BBQ.
There are four free side dishes in the black tray including white kimchee that you can make a wrap with your meat inside.
One of the merits of this restaurant is that the staff will do all the cooking process and prepare the meat for you. So you don't need to be bothered and just wait until the foods are served.
In the picture above, you can see the staff trying to check the temperature of the grill before they cook. I've never seen something like that before and I thought it's really cool and futuristic.
The samgyeopsal (pork belly) was 13,000 won for 180g. It's a little expensive comparing with other BBQ places near hongdae but the quality of the meat was nice and the meat tasted really good!
You might wonder why is there wasabi on my plate with other dipping sauces. The staff recommended me to try wasabi with the white kimchee.
(I didn't really like the taste but it's a new experience.)
Don't miss the cold noodle after BBQ! You can choose between normal one(Mul-naengmyeon) and spicy one(Bibim-naenymyeon).
I would say this is one of the best flavour meat I've tried in Hongdae and I highly recommend this place to you!
